Unique: thanks to the innovative grain structure, protruding wood fibres are not simply flattened, but cleanly cut off. This prevents the fibres from standing up again when exposed to moisture. Pro tip for a perfect sanding result When sanding with a belt sander, the direction of work determines success or failure. From grit size P80 onwards, always guide the machine exactly parallel to the wood grain. Cross-graining causes deep scratches that are difficult to remove. Important when fitting the belt: The sanding belts are directional! When fitting the belt, pay attention to the direction of travel arrows printed on the inside of the fabric – if these match the direction of rotation of the BS 75, the belt will run perfectly centred and the joint will be optimally loaded. For large-area, flat sanding work, ideally use the Festool sanding frame – this prevents the machine from tipping over accidentally and protects against deep dents in the wood.
