Questions about choosing Festool tools
Choosing the right Festool plunge-cut saw depends on the application. For precise panel cuts in furniture making, models from the TS or TSC series are often used. Cutting depth, mobility, cordless or corded operation and the combination with a suitable guide rail and dust extraction are important factors.
CLEANTEC refers to Festool’s dust extraction system. The mobile dust extractors are matched to machines such as sanders, saws or routers and enable low-dust work in the workshop and on construction sites. Depending on the model, they differ in power, container size and dust class.
ETS random orbital sanders are designed for fine and controlled surface finishing. ROTEX models combine random orbital and geared rotary motion and are suitable for both high material removal and fine sanding. The choice depends on the material, application and desired surface result.
Festool plunge-cut saws are compatible with the FS series guide rails. The right rail length depends on the size of the workpiece and the application. For row-hole drilling and special furniture applications, the LR 32 system is also available.
