Expert tip for a hologram-free finish

When attaching the polishing sponge or lambswool pad, take great care to ensure that the accessory sits exactly centred on the StickFix hook-and-loop fastener of the plate. Misalignment leads to imbalance, causing the machine to vibrate and creating the notorious "polishing dance pattern" (holograms) on the paintwork. Clean the hook-and-loop backing of the pad regularly with a soft brush or compressed air to remove any residue of polishing compound. This maintains the maximum adhesive strength of the StickFix fabric and ensures that the sponges remain securely fixed even under high loads and heat build-up.
