The highly absorptive, eco-friendly coating for maximum efficiency in solar thermal applications: Our Solar Coating M40 LI-F-E-NG (Black), based on an advanced acrylate polymer dispersion, has been specifically developed to meet the rigorous thermal and physical demands of solar thermal modules and solar collectors. As a water-based, 1-component system, this coating combines the highest environmental standards with outstanding technical performance. Featuring an exceptional absorption rate of 95%, it maximizes the energy yield of your solar systems while simultaneously providing integrated ESD protection.

Processing & Application Conditions

This solar coating offers exceptional versatility in application and integrates seamlessly into manual or automated production lines. It is supplied ready for use and can be applied via brush, roller, dipping processes, or conventional spray guns.

Substrate Preparation: The collectors and surfaces to be coated must be absolutely dry, free of dust, and free of grease beforehand to ensure maximum adhesion and full absorption capabilities.

Climatic Conditions & Drying

  • Processing Temperature: The ideal ambient and material temperature ranges between 15 °C and 35 °C.
  • Drying Time: The material features very fast physical drying. At an ambient temperature of 20 °C, the coating is dry to the touch within 30 to 60 minutes.

Application by Spraying (Spray Gun)

  • Working Pressure: approx. 4.0 bar
  • Nozzle Size: 1.3 to 1.6 mm

Cleaning

Since this is a water-based system, equipment can generally be cleaned simply using clear water while the coating is still wet. For dried residues, we recommend our specialized in-house cleaning agents.

Important Process Note: The coating must not be diluted! It is already optimally adjusted for you ex works. The surfaces to be coated must be absolutely dry, free of dust, and free of grease. Mixing & Pot Life For 2-component processing, add the matching Hardener MOX (separately available as a perfectly coordinated system unit) in a mixing ratio of 1000 : 160 and stir thoroughly. The processing time (pot life) after mixing is approx. 3 hours at 20 °C. The processing viscosity (according to DIN) is 18–20 seconds (4 mm / 20 °C).(Note: Optionally, the product can also be processed as a 1-component system, i.e., without adding hardener.) Drying Time The material is characterized by a very fast drying time. At an ambient temperature of 20 °C, the coating is already completely dry after 30 to 60 minutes.
