Metallic colour pigmentsCreate a limitless palette of individual effectsApplication Metallic pigments create a pearl or iridescent effect when mixed with your epoxy resin. Different colours can be colours can be combined to create a wide range of tones. The metallic pigments have high colouring properties, so that a small small amount has a big effect. How much pigment you need depends on the desired effect. As a rough starting point, you can use the estimates below, remembering that you can still add pigments after mixing, but no longer add them Pigments after mixing, but you can no longer remove them. So start with a smaller amount and add more as needed.Tips for using the metallic colour pigments Mix for at least 2-3 minutes. To avoid curing imperfections, ensure that the pigment does not exceed 3% by volume or 10% by weight of the epoxy mixture. Check every 15-30 minutes during the curing process. If you notice that the pigments are settling, stir carefully with a clean tool*. The tool used for stirring should always be immersed in the epoxy resin to minimise the ingress of air bubbles. We advise against stirring the epoxy resin when it is in a gel-like stage to avoid curling . EcoPoxy FlowCast Hardener – The key component for perfect casting results The EcoPoxy FlowCast Hardener is an essential component of the FlowCast system. It has been specially developed to form a crystal-clear, extremely stable bond when used in combination with FlowCast resin. Thanks to its bio-based formulation, this hardener is low-odour and makes for a pleasant working experience, even on large-scale projects such as river tables or deep castings. Optimised curing for deep castings This hardener is designed for low exothermic reaction. This means that the chemical reaction during curing is controlled and slow, minimising heat build-up. This prevents stress cracks and yellowing, even when casting layer thicknesses of up to 38 mm (1.5 inches) in a single operation.
