The Festool Garnet sanding strips 80x133 mm are the ultimate solution for all tradespeople who demand the highest standards of surface quality, service life and cost-effectiveness. The Granat sanding strip is specially designed for universal use and excels particularly when working with modern paint systems, VOC-free clear coats, the hardest fillers, as well as wood and plastics. Measuring 80 x 133 mm, the strips fit perfectly on all standard orbital sanders and random orbital sanders with a compatible base plate – such as the Festool RTS 400 or Rutsch 400. Thanks to the tried-and-tested StickFix hook-and-loop system, the strips can be changed in a flash and are completely non-slip.
Maximum removal rate and effective protection against clogging
Whether for coarse sanding or the finest intermediate sanding: Festool Granat impresses with a homogeneous abrasive grain that produces an extremely even finish without deep scratches. A special stearate coating (anti-adhesive formula) ensures that the abrasive hardly clogs up at all, even when sanding soft fillers or thermoplastics. The sanding dust is channelled directly to the extraction system via the precise hole pattern. This protects your health, keeps the grit razor-sharp and ensures a **significantly longer service life** compared to standard sanding sheets.

Expert tip for a flawless finish
To achieve the best results when fine-sanding with grit P180 or finer, slightly reduce the speed or oscillation rate of your sander and work with minimal pressure. The garnet grains work most effectively when they can glide evenly across the surface. Be sure to use a suitable Festool extraction hose (preferably the anti-static version): powerful extraction noticeably cools the sanding surface, which completely prevents paint particles from fusing onto the strip and doubles the disc’s service life.
Application note: Optimised for dry sanding in demanding trade and industrial applications. Suitable for Festool RTS 400, Rutsch 400 and similar sanders.
