Hesse Proterra Hard Oil GE 11025-2001 – natural hard oil for interior wood
Hesse Proterra Hard Oil GE 11025-2001 gives interior wood surfaces a natural, open-pored and deep-acting finish. The low-solvent, linseed oil-based oil penetrates deep into the wood, promotes a vapour-permeable surface and at the same time strongly enhances the wood grain. This gives wood surfaces a lively, warm and high-quality appearance.
The hard oil was developed for the surface treatment of wood in interior areas and is ideal for furniture, interior fittings, living rooms and bedrooms, children's furniture, and wall and ceiling panelling. It can be used on light and dark hardwoods as well as softwoods.
The combination of natural appearance and technical performance is particularly impressive: the product contains a very high proportion of renewable raw materials, is formulated without lead and cobalt-containing drying agents and has a pleasant, low-solvent odour. It also meets important requirements such as saliva and sweat resistance in accordance with DIN 53160, toy safety in accordance with DIN EN 71-3 and, according to technical information, is suitable for use in contact with food, whereby the end product must be tested by the processor for the intended use.
Application
The product should be applied to clean, dry and appropriately sanded wood. We recommend sanding the raw wood with 240 to 320 grit sandpaper. The oil can be sanded in with sanding fleece and excess material can be removed with a cotton cloth. Apply 10 to 20 g/m² per coat, with a maximum of 2 coats. Drying time is approximately 16 hours at 20 °C, and the surface is ready for use after 7 days.
